“As he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once.”

Doesn't matter if you are a reader or not. You've heard of this novel before. I'm sure.
The story is about a cancer patient's support group. It focuses on Hazel; she has thyroid cancer that has spread to her lungs. Because of her cancer, she uses a portable oxygen tank to breathe properly. At one meeting, Hazel catches the sight of a beautiful teenage boy called Augustus; he had osteosarcoma cancer. His best friend Isaac is suffering from a tumor in one eye that he had removed, and now he has to have his other eye taken out as well.
After meeting Augustus, Hazelfeels like she no longer thinks about her cancer. She slowly began to realize the changes he brings to her life, how she was a dull girl stuck between the walls of her house until he made her in love with life again. He takes her out of her black hole. Together, they hang the streets of the city, even such a usual thing they had done multiple times before seemed extraordinary when they did it together. They read novels as if they were living unusual adventures. Never believed more in the quote saying that love change a whole life. It's a quote. Right?
I'm not saying this because everyone loves this novel. But it really deserves the five stars. Starting from the characters to the emotional scenes. Everything about it is just perfect. I'm sure you will fall in love with Hazel. You will adore Augustus, and wish for someone like him to be in your life because Augustusis a lifesaver.
Here, I want to refer to a thing I'm frequently saying which is Reading may save the most depressing lives in the world. Maybe Augustus saved the life of Hazel directly, but he will also indirectly save yours. You'll feel inspired by the encouraging words he keeps telling Hazel, the way he tries to cheer her up and make her stealth from the fear of her sickness. Hazel found a beautiful meaning in life because of Augustus. And Augustusexperienced a new world because of Hazel.
For me, the fame of this novel didn't happen just because it is a romance novel where two persons love each other, and this way they create some butterfly effect in the stomach of readers. I know that some readers read romance just for the sake of this feeling 😅. But this novel is completely different, it holds a lot of affection, you will feel like someone is hugging you on a cold rainy day. Warm water will flow through your body.
I'm not even exaggerating when I said that you'll taste the desire to help someone, to tell him that everything will be okay no matter how hard life gets, that sorrow is just an opening to a brighter and shinier life. You will feel like you want to be a human again, to get rid of all the negative emotions that people are trying to plant inside you.
I have read this story a long time ago, and I'm just writing the review at the moment. And remembering all the feeling it brings with it makes me want to reread it.
I'm not done yet. I know I talk a lot, but once I talk about something I like, I can't stop 😂. This heartbreaking story will make you grateful for everything in your life. Some people may be even younger than you and face death every second. We are always afraid of the smallest thing, we growl if what we want doesn't happen, we get angry for simple reasons, we shout, we scream. And maybe we break our relations with the closest people to us. Please try to remember that there are people out there who want what you consider the simplest things ever. LIFE.
If by any meaning, you feel like you want to relieve anger on a bunch of silly things, just take a deep breath, smile, and remember that life could be worst.
If you want to experience good emotions, please read this one. YOu won't regret it.
This novel deserves so much love. Because for me, it is also a lesson 💖 💖 💖
Please, don't just go and watch the movie. I beg you to read the book. If you don't, you'll still had no idea how great reading is.
